The CONFIANCE was built in 1901 in Martenshoek as a sailing cargo ship. After being converted into a motor vessel and used as such in the 1950s, she was given a mast again in the late 1990s and has been at home in Harlingen ever since.
The CONFIANCE was converted into a passenger ship only a few years ago and therefore impresses with its well-maintained, modern interior. The long table in the day room combined with the open kitchen are particularly inviting for pleasant group trips and are ideal for preparing meals together as a group. The spacious cabins also leave nothing to be desired.
Hardly any captain knows his sailing area as well as Jan-Willem. This is not the only reason why the ship has more than earned the name CONFIANCE (French for trust).
